    To identify a Fire Door, check for a certification label on the top or hinged edge, and for intumescent strips around the frame.

    Other key indicators include a self-closing mechanism that automatically shuts the door, a thicker door leaf than a standard internal door (typically 44 mm), and a minimum of three hinges securely fixed with fire-rated screws. 

  • What's an ease and adjust?

    "Ease and adjust" refers to the process of correcting gaps between the door leaf and the frame to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.  This adjustment allows the door to close properly and ensures the intumescent seals can effectively block the spread of fire and smoke.

  • Does the service include decoration?

    All of our quotations include  "Making good decoration", which covers basic remediation of pinholes and any minor surface damage surrounding the door set.
